Meet the Founder
Karissa Binkley, IBCLC
I've spent nearly 20 years in the perinatal field, more than a decade in clinical lactation, with active practices in the United States and the Netherlands. I know this work from the inside, including the patchwork of software that was never built for us, stealing hours from the families we serve and from our own lives.
I'm also Gen X, so I've lived through every leap in technology, from a rotary phone to an iPhone, a typewriter to a laptop. I remember how daunting each change felt, and it taught me something I've carried into Melkflow: new technology is hard, especially when the tools assume you already speak their language. That's why ease of adoption has been a priority from the start, with onboarding that meets people where they are.
Melkflow is the platform consultants have actually been asking for: one that respects their expertise, fits how they work, and helps them build sustainable practices while expanding access to great care. It's the tool I wished I'd had, and now I'm building it for all of us.
